there was a time not so long ago when family and friends sat by me silently and let me lean on them
looking back it was a powerful gift and now it is my turn
to sit next to them as well as new and old friends so that they can lean on me
this collection is a celebration of love, friendship, and community
it is inspired by all of the people in my life who let me lean on them and for anyone who has needed, now needs, or will need someone to sit silently beside them
because sometimes there are no words…

my mandala took shape and form on an empty page after many stops and starts
the first shape, drawn only after a pause— a quiet breath of letting go
my pen began to move in a rhythm just as the breath does when we take notice and fall into the present…
mandalas always circular in shape draw us into the center— our center our beauty
and in so doing we let go this is my moment my letting go my center my beauty
