After being battered by the wind, the rain, & the cold with only moments of quiet, warmth & sun for four days during the first Wanderlust Festival of the year on Oahu’s North Shore, I woke up this morning, threw on my running shoes and had one of my best runs almost ever—not because it was my fastest or because I was at my strongest but because I just wanted to keep on running. Running for me is like traveling—a way to explore and see things I would not see if I was not a runner. When I run, the beauty of where I am comes to life. Its rhythm becomes my rhythm. My inspiration. My meditation. My letting go. My bliss. My moment. To be present and thankful for a physical body that works & the opportunity to share my art in such magical places with so many equally magical people.
