Moon River

It is a quiet night here at the hotel. There are just a few of us gathered. Kelly, Kami and Steve behind the bar, a retired Milwaukee police officer shot in the line of duty and now happy father of baby triplets, and Perry at the piano filling the lobby with the sweet sound of longing and dreammaking.

🎵Moon river wider than a smile
I’m crossing you in style someday
Oh, dream maker
You heartbreaker
Wherever you’re going, I’m going your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There’s such a lot of world to see
We’re after the same rainbow’s end,
waitin’ round the bend
My huckleberry friend,
moon river, and me

Yes, the hotel is quiet. Quiet and empty. Quiet and full. Quiet and full of possibility.
