Our new collection of jewelry featuring Bela’s original hand drawn Flower design, is handmade with sterling silver and tulsi (or holi basil) and blessed in Bali, Indonesia. “Flowers are a gift of nature to the earth. they speak of love, console in sorrow, congratulate in achievement, and celebrate friendship.” ~ Bali Malas

This collection is inspired by a friendship that began in 2014. Bela and Christy, the owner and designer of Bali Malas, when their tents were serendipitously placed next to each other at a show in Tahoe during an unprecedented four days of torrential rains and mountain weather. Not to be deterred by the storms, Christy and Bela began a life-long friendship that took them on the road across North America selling and sharing their original art and designs with people from all over the world for years to come. This collection was created in celebration of the trust, memories and friendship that comes when you open your heart and share it with the people you love as well as the strangers next door. We hope it inspires you to give & receive with tenderness and an open heart.

Each Mala is handmade in Bali with 108 tulsi seeds (the number 108 is considered deeply spiritual and auspicious),  selected gemstones and a sterling silver charm etched with Bela’s hand drawn original flower design. Malas are necklaces or garlands strung together with beads and used as a meditation tool throughout the East, most especially in Hindu and Buddhist cultures. Similar to the Christian rosary, Malas are used for prayer. Each Mala is hand tied so may vary slightly in length and may wrap twice around the neck.  Hangs at approximately 34″

The Sterling Silver Charm etched with Bela’s original hand drawn Flower may be purchased with a Mala or by itself. Each Mala may also be purchased with your choice of sterling silver, onyx or sapphire and is blessed in Bali before being shipped. Bela’s Flower design is also available on her signature stylish & easy-to-wear Tees, Tanks & Hoodies— locally printed by hand & made with love.
