“When I am among the trees, especially the willows and the honey locust, equally the beech, the oaks and the pines, they give off such hints of gladness. I would almost say that they save me, and daily.”
~ Mary Oliver
Introducing ‘The River Tree.’ Created for my first Public Arts Commission near my home on the shores of Lake Michigan in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, it is a celebration of our rich and diverse landscape and a reminder that we are all connected — to the present, the past, the earth, the land, the waters and each other.
If you live in Milwaukee or are visiting please consider taking the walking tour to check out my first Public Arts work, a traffic signal light box featuring ‘The River Tree.’ It is located on the south side of Atwater Park in the Village of Shorewood just on the edge of the city.
